He tries so hard but why doesn't the bonding work Red probably just pitied him didn't it no but maybe more theories: Lotor!Keith was a paladin in the past too, perhaps of the Blue Lion, but then my mind jumps to "what happened to the other paladins?" → "someone killed them to capture Voltron" → "Lotor". He either ended up on Earth with the Blue Lion thanks to Alfor sparing him since he figured the kid had been corrupted and could start anew, or by Zarkon to locate the Lion after Alfor hid it. Consider.

My primary theory is that Red is the most catlike of the group in that he will pretend he doesn't care even when he won't leave you alone:

"The fact I am sitting on your face means nothing."

In other words, Red is the tsundere.
