He tries so hard but why doesn't the bonding work Red probably just pitied him didn't it no but maybe more theories: Lotor!Keith was a paladin in the past too, perhaps of the Blue Lion, but then my mind jumps to "what happened to the other paladins?" → "someone killed them to capture Voltron" → "Lotor". He either ended up on Earth with the Blue Lion thanks to Alfor sparing him since he figured the kid had been corrupted and could start anew, or by Zarkon to locate the Lion after Alfor hid it.
